Vehicle-To-Grid Interactive
Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) interactive charging piles are advanced EV (Electric Vehicle) charging stations that allow two-way energy flow between electric vehicles and the power grid. Instead of just charging the car, they also enable energy stored in the vehicle’s battery to be sent back to the grid when needed.
What Are V2G Charging Piles?
V1G: Unidirectional orderly charging, only changing the EV charging time or power
(e.g.,absorbing surplus solar at noon for load balancing)
V2G: Involving reverse power flow and allowing multi-scale regulation, applicable to both local microgrids and large-scale power grids.
V2X: Taking EVs as mobile energy storage units, allowing vehicle-to-vehicle interaction, home-vehicle-grid coordination, stationary energy storage substitution and vehicle-to-everything connectivity.
V2X boasts extensive application scenarios, benefiting users such as NEV owners, enterprises, operators and governments while driving the green benefits of renewable energy development.
V2X features diverse business models, battery owners can manage energy storage in centralized/distributed modes to generate revenue. This can not only help to reduce customer burdens but also save vehicle costs, promoting EV market involvement.
How V2G Works
This two-way interaction is controlled and optimized through smart communication and energy management systems.
Charging mode (Grid → Vehicle)
Just like normal EV chargers, electricity flows from the grid to charge the EV battery.
Discharging mode (Vehicle → Grid)
When the grid needs power (e.g., during peak demand), the EV can return electricity back to the grid.
